The NWCSD has an enriched and progressive focus on creating a safe, inclusive and inviting environment for everyone in our school community, including staff and students alike. As part of our Comprehensive District Educational Planning (CDEP) initiative, we look to improve and facilitate and building communicative systems which ensure safety for everyone on our campus. We are working to fulfill that goal by performing and simulating a risk evaluation of our workplace and learning environment to minimize workplace violence in any capacity.
Recently, the legislation listed below has been signed into law effective September 6, 2023 has promoted the District and other BOCES around NYS to fully develop a Workplace Violence Program (WVP) that protects our employees and also develops a safe and inclusive learning environment for our students.
